Blower Resistance (Blower Resistor)
The Blower Resistance is an essential part of the vehicle’s HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) system. It controls the speed of the blower motor by regulating the amount of electrical current that passes through, allowing the fan to operate at different speeds.
Key functions:
Regulates blower motor speed (low, medium, high)
Provides comfort control inside the cabin
Ensures proper airflow for heating, cooling, and defrosting
Protects the blower motor from overload
A faulty blower resistor can cause the blower fan to work only at one speed or stop functioning completely. Replacing it restores proper climate control operation.
